I just saw a post from rickI on another forum, he said Toby had contacted hom to say that kiteforum.com will be back online around the end of this week.
Seems the kook that hacked changed some settings and its taking some time to get it sorted, apparently not much data has been lost.

That's about the size of it Steve. Hopefully, the bugs will be knocked out and the site returned online soon. If I hear other updates I will post them here.

Just got another update from Toby. He anticipates that Kiteforum should be back up online by Saturday if not sooner, new and improved and more secure than ever.

Just got another update from Toby. Kitebeaches.com will be back online Monday. All the new content going into Kiteforum.com is demanding more time to complete and will require some days longer.

This now appears at kiteforum.com:

We have to reinstall a lot of basic software and
update to a new forum software, in order to get it
back online and to protect it for future attacks.

The forum should be back online by end of the week.
And you may be suprised, once it is back.... ;-)

www.kitebeaches.com is already back!

So please take the time and enter a new kitebeach, add pictures or maps,
write a comment or send in additional or corrected info to make the content
even better. You will help others with this info and others will help you
for your next trip!
