I had a feeling that video was gonna surface but I wasn't sure which channel that chopper belonged to. It's crazy to know that happened right around the corner. About five of us were riding at EB when the chopper came into ft. desoto. It flew to EB from, what looked like north beach area, and hovered right over us for about 10 minutes taking video. Pretty cool.

Glad to hear the dolphin made it out okay, I had heard the it was the dolphins blood, but I see it was just a fish that got chewed up. :)

Nice video, thanks for putting up the link. Size has its advantages. The shark struck the fish but was chased off by the dolphin who wolfed down the kill. It looks like the shark orbited back but by then the fish was history.

Hmmm.. the media is at it again.
That just looked like they both went for the fish to me.
Then, the dolphin grabbed it after the shark cut it in half.
That was about a 60 to 80 pound black tip I think (no match for a dolphin).
But, "Dolphin steals fish from 60 pound shark" isn't much of a headline.

Was that at Bunces Pass (south side), anyone know?

This is truly terrifying. If I were you guys I would stay far away from the water. It's obvious these sharks have no fear of shallow water and that they are prepared to ATTACK ANYTHING in their path.

Obviously night riding is PROHIBITED until these sharks are under control. I highly recommend waiting until daylight before riding.

I think this should be made a sticky for everyone so that they understand how DANGEROUS the situation has become!!!

Heading out now to buy some lunch and some glow sticks. :)

You might wanna wait until after I am done chumming the waters @ Lassing tonite

I think this happened because of the stupid bow and SLE kites that have invaded the scene, which are confusing the sharks and dolphins with their incessant flapping. This never used to happen when all of us were on C kites.

Lately they haven't been flapping as much as they have been floating.
