Help a family in need...

We are organizing a rummage sale to help the Hampton family, a south Tampa family of 6, who have been hit hard by a debilitating accident, and left without income. The father supported his family with his landscaping service, which is now being maintained by friends and relatives.He is also a military veteran. You can help by donating clothing, housewares,etc., which will be sold at the V.F.W. post in Hyde Park on Sat. Aug. 4. There will be also be a blood drive, food, and music.

So, clean out those garages and closets (while you wait for wind) and let's help this family in need. All leftover items will be donated to The Spring, a shelter for battered women.

Donation Locations-
Hillsborough County- We have set up a PODS located at 2101 W. Platt St. in Hyde Park to store everything until the sale. (8:30-5:30 PM Mon-Fri.) Contact Liz at (813)637-2357

Pinellas- Drop items at Sunshine Beach House (10080 Gulf Blvd.) Please contact Steve(813)389-3683 prior to delivering larger items, as storage space is very limited.

Quick update:
A MEGA-HUGE THANKS goes out to Century 21-List with Beggins for their 2000.00 contribution towards this fundraiser!

There are also several businesses donating product/samples and services that will help this effort.

If you have items to donate and can't drop them off, I will arrange to pick them up at your doorstep before Aug. 1st. Please let me know ASAP if you need pickup.

I have a microwave from the kitchen remodeling that works perfect that we will donate. Also have a few small appliance such as coffee maker and smaller toaster oven.

Need room for the Mustang restoration which is going very well....

I'll drop tomorrow some clothing and towels that are in good conditions that I dont' wear anymore. I wish I could donate something else but I just have some furniture at home.

Thanks Erick! We will be at the Beach House today for a grill n chill if you want to come out.Everyone is welcome, bring food,beer, and kite gear.(I feel lucky today)

The sale is this Saturday, if you have items to donate NOW is the time to get them in.
The VFW post is located at 2010 W. Morrison Ave.(Just East of Howard Ave.)
Starting time is 8:00AM, we will wrap it up at 1:00 PM.

The sale was a huge success, with a grand total of 3420.00 in assistance to the Hampton family. A pod full of unsold items were donated to The Spring,which operates several thrift stores throughout the Tampa Bay area to support their organization. Thank You to all contributors and volunteers who made this possible!
