Skyway Scott 08-15-2007 06:35 PM

Sweet. That's a ways away, but seems like something has to give here soon.

Im liking that forecast...but why are all the best days during the week.....aagghh! Surely going on sunday- 10 to 15.... ill take it.

I wonder whats causing that potential wind. seems like all the tropical systems are far off at that point???

TampaBay Noob 08-16-2007 11:03 AM

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up! I'm liking the idea of a night ride on Saturday. Time to start adjusting the work schedule. I think we my have quite a bit of wind coming up here shortly with all the activitiy in the waters at the moment. I can't recall the season forecast off the top of my head but I do remember it being a rather active one. Might be a good year to have those 7meters.

Hey Big R

Weren't you the one telling me not to get my hopes up last week.

Well it was a long shot and still is sorta, but it looks promising for some 15+ winds.

With all of the down time lately, all I had was getting up some hopes.

Hope it happens.

Steve-O

Please give a review of the Contra and Crossbow III's if you get on em.

BigR 08-16-2007 11:27 AM

well, cat IV's only have to come within 500 miles of you to give you rideable wind.

also , notice that the "5 day cone" is now within striking distance of Tampa.

I was just trying to let you know not to set yourself up for disappointment, I've seen these things go 90 or 180 degrees in the other direction or fizzle out B 4, but this one looks solid till monday at least

Haven't done more than take them out of the bag so far, but, All I can say so far is that they look REALLY solid! everything is beefed up, bag fits and
Nice colors!
I'll be at the skyway saturday and/ or sunday if there's wind if anybody wants to demo the new 17m Contra III or 12m XBow III.
I am suspecting the new contra will be able to go in some pretty light winds if it comes to that.

Pray for wind!
