Hurricane Ernesto

The latest models and track predictions are in for TS Ernesto. It isn't looking too good. The track has been shifting more eastward with each update. Now they are showing a fairly sudden turn to the NE in the predicted track several days out. This shows up in only one model.

From current indications, it looks like Florida is going to get hit. Last night they said it might be a Cat. III storm, so I would pay particular attention to this one and make plans, take steps well in advance.

Me too, big time. It is now a hurricane. I wouldn't fixate to much on the track several days out as it will likely shift around a bit. I would try to get ready for what might come though and before the crowds kick in. Good luck to us!

We are all going to Ricks house if Tampa gets devastated. Thanks for the invite Rick. :D

Not to be too pessimistic but the track has been shifting east for sometime. It may not be done yet.

I just picked up two cats this afternoon. You can bunk with the kitties, they don't snore, much.

The storm has continued to shift east, wonder if it will shift into the Straits? If it survives going over Cuba and returns to hurricane strength, I have a feeling it may move around some more as it bears northward towards Florida. The track above, likely to change yet again, suggests Tampa has fallen into the left leading quadrant, i.e. lighter winds. Keep an eye on this one and have your bases covered.
