Honeymoon Kiting?

I'm from Maryland but visiting for Xmas. Honeymoon looks like a good kite spot, anyone kite there? Looks good for a west or south west, and that Lagoon looks fun. It looks like you could launch at the parking lot ride some waves then ride up around and in to the lagoon. lmk if anyone has any knowledge about this place!
Thanks, Dean

Yep, a couple of guys ride there...
Nice spot, but watch out for sharks, poles, and strong inlet currents.

This pic has been taken just a few weeks ago at Honeymoon beach:

I've kayaked on the south side of Honeymoon island in the pass. Never kited there though. You'll also need to watch out for fishermen and the boat and PWC traffic in the pass. The current there really rips. It sets up some good standing waves on the sandbar on the southwest side of the pass just off Caledesi island. A few months ago I heard of a kiter that needed to be rescued as the current took him out through the pass into the gulf. So be careful, particularly if the wind dies.
