Where to kitesurf, I'm new to the area!
 
Hey everyone,

I just moved to the Tampa bay area and brougth all my kitesurfing equipment but i have to idea where to go. Where do most kitesurfers go so i can meet some people and find out about the area.

Hello Tala,

Many Bay area riders kite off of Ft. DeSoto south of St. Pete. There are some restrictions there which are summarized at:

You might PM Eagle for more info on other Bay area spots.

Tampa Bay launches
 
Check with the guys at WaterSportsWest in Largo....I have ridden at a county park down there...Fort Desoto...it has a few different launch spots and catches a lot of wind directions.....it is the nicest county park I have seen anywhere and has camping as well.
