Photos - More Wreck Free Diving

I returned to the United Caribbean for another dive. The blue water was in and viz. good at around 70 ft. or so. Headed out with Parrot Scuba this time.

The first dive was on the wreck of the United Caribbean.

Even though I have only been it twice it is turning into my favorite wreck for scooter free diving. It is pretty shallow at 70 ft. with two interesting pieces of wreckage including a bow and stern section that are still fairly intact.

There are some intriguing confined space areas to checkout like this compartment in the bow section.

There was a large goliath grouper on the wreck this time adding to local color.

I carried a couple of GoPro cameras on a Quikpod Monopod to capture things fore and aft as I passed through sections of the wreck.

Moving over to the stern section.

Running down some passageways in the wreck.

It does get bright nearer the surface

Comparing the size of the stern section to the grouper, that is a big fish!

I have never though of nurse sharks as being particularly patient but this guy put up with two close passes overhead, almost. He moved on during the second pass.

Passing by the first time, the shark decided to hang out.

Another view of the stern section, at the point of separation from the rest of the ship.

Getting "exhausted"

A reef shark came by to check me out on the second dive. Had a similar scenario a while back on another second dive. The shark first checked out the scuba divers, then moved over to me and then just faded away. I couldn't find either shark again after the first sighting.

Time to surface, sharks can make you extend your bottom time to try to allow a better look!

Time to board and head in.

Heading back through the inlet, nice dives yet again!
