It's a long shot.....

It probably is, but I have seen longer shots actually happen.
To increase the odds, might want to make the ranger's aware of the situation. Just in case someone turns it in.

Steve,

Thanks for the post. What a crappy day. I actually wasn't going to go to EB. I parked between some garbage cans in the middle of the beach. Who knows maybe years down the road somone will give me a call.

Calling Kelley and telling her sucked!!! My only hope is that it fell off while I was on the beach. I didn't realize it until after I left and was going to lunch. Drove back and combed the area for 2 hours.

were you riding with it? I lost mine riding at skyway once and a guy Randy knows actually found it with a metal detector. I did know the general area where I lost it though.

I'll give you one I'm not currently using. Seriously, though, a friend of mine lost his and his wife was bummed, so he got a new one and renewed his vows. It seemed to have solved the problem. Don't know if he ever found the original or not.

Tyler,

I know how you feel, I lost mine surfing not soon after I got the darn thing. It sucked for sure.

The good news in, while on a vaca in Hawaii with the wife, we ran across a really cool ring with lots of Hawaiian history in it. It was the perfect ring and we were able to pick it out together. I still have it to this day and get tons of compliments on it. My first ring was rather boring and simple, but it was original ring.

What are ya gonna do, except make sure the next one fits perfect.

Good luck finding it.

Metal detector, if it is still on the beach area and you know of someone who has one or can rent one you will most likely find it!! try and get there before any cars are in the area.

Steve & All,

Thanks for the offer. Maybe I'll ya up on the offer of the medal detector someday soon. For now, I went to the jeweler that we bought the first ring form. The ring will be here in 2 weeks. I can't tell for sure if I lost it on shore or in the water.

9 months 21 days on my finger. Not a great track record. :( I'm gonna either have to remember to start taking it off or wear gloves when I ride.

Attached pics from my session at EB. 4th time out after Steve-O released me to the wild. www.camrig.com Can you see my ring? ;)
