CW sensor is pretty high, can anyone confirm the wind there? or anywhere for that matter?????

It looks windy on the baynews9 skycam. ;)

This will be 4 days this week. :p

when you heading out?
i might be able to join ya for another sesh on my new kite :)

Skyway Scott 08-03-2007 07:08 AM

Doppler looks awesome. We have a strong band to our North and it is clear here. That usually means SW to SSW winds increasing in speed as it heats up (as long as the storms don't come our way).
It might blow most of the day, especially from 12 to 4 is my guess.
I might go out a tad earlier than that to the beach.
If it does go SSW, which is my guess, I might actually ride EB. :)

I just realized, today would be a good day to try the Dunedin area, maybe.

I'll be in dunedin, Ever ridden it before?

Skyway Scott 08-03-2007 08:33 AM

No, not on a kite. I have windsurfed and hobie catted out there about 40 times though (way back about 15 years ago). SW and SSWs always seemed real good there.
Check your pm for my phone number.

I am going to start driving north pretty soon. IRB might be good too.

Irb

Whats up guys? I get outta work at noon today and live about 10 minutes from IRB. Yesterday I rode there with a couple others from about 5 to 8. I ended up breaking away and down winding to sandkey and caught a nice little jolly trolly ride back down.

As far as dunedin goes, its a good spot to ride. If anyone wants to ride with me I am going to give it a shot. Hadn't rode in about 6 week so I'm a little sore and I'm missing skin on my left hand from my session last night, but I will give it a shot!

Feel free to give me a shout 407-902-8484.

Danny

Sunset beach was decent. I would say 12 to 15 knots.
Rode with a couple kiters and a few windsurfers (over in the Howard Park area). I think I would have enjoyed Honeymoon Island even more, especially after having talked to Wolfie.
Launch area seems pretty limited at Sunset, but was a nice place to ride.

Turns out I just missed the wind at Sunset bch :( It actually blew 15-20 before 10 am, 15 knot for most of the day. It actually turned out to be a decent week of riding. Looks like were back to regular sea breezes, cant wait for October.
