Yeah, but what is going on? Is there a big thunderhead over there?

Optionryder420 06-29-2006 03:16 PM

At redington it's blowing okay... not too much wind, but it's really steady.

I'm contemplating going back...

bring your stuff just in case, we might be getting some wind soon, but it's the same as it is down there, shitty wind during the summer. but i'd definitly bring it in case. better safe then sorry.

got a 12 a nd a 16

i have a 12 and 16 mts, kites do you think its worth to take the 12, i can handle 16 to 17 knots with the 16 mts. the lighter the better cause i also got 2 daugthers less than a year all, i dont know if i should take my kite or my daugther, I want to take the kites my wife wants the complete family, thats a global problem? or just in mexico?

E-Bone 06-29-2006 07:43 PM

SKUNK'D!!!

ALBE 06-29-2006 09:22 PM

waz dat for real?? :?

bryanleighty 06-29-2006 09:29 PM

i got in about 1 solid hour on the 12m waroo and then another 30 minutes on a Toby's ION.

Did I mention that 25minutes of the ION ride was walking the kite back in from just outside the channel?

wind turned just as I was coming back in from my first tack.. and PLOP.. kite dropped and that was that.

oh well..

toby wilson 06-29-2006 11:43 PM

Yeah Paul Fox, E-Bone and I were standing on the beach and looked at each other then E-Bone held his hands out and said "did he wind just shift??? Bryan better get himself back in these offshore winds". Then *click*...someone flipped a switch and the light wind we had just abruptly stopped and Bryan was off on a trudge through the backside mud...

E-Bone 06-30-2006 05:17 AM

I actually went to the other side and rigged. It was blowing 13 E or so as I rigged and I was laughing at how I was going to steal an east session.

Once I was ready and launched, though, it dropped to 8 mph and I got to play with my kite in the water. There ain't no cure for the summertime blues.

bryanleighty 06-30-2006 07:28 AM

lots of dolphin in the channel yesterday.. typcially see a pod or two every couple sessions in that area.

on a NW wind, the run from BS to EB is pretty damn amazing and has almost a zen-like quality.
