Skemp, welcome to the forum and it was nice to meet/speak with you today. Your riding is looking good and I hope to see you boosting some air soon!

I had a great time today out at EB. I rode upwind once all the way to the back side of the SW. Then the second time I rode upwind in 2 inches of water to the back side of EB, there was a lot more water over there then at EB.

I also learned how to boost huge air on the 14m GK Sonic. Thanks Antonio for the tip. :D

By the way, Toby is looking great today.

Great day and thanks to all that showed up.

Thanks for hooking me up with the strap on Chris!!! Just kidding! Thanks for giving me that detachable DD for my harness though...I just HATE coming unhooked by accident and 3 of my bars have the donkey dick cut off. The riding is coming along, just having trouble holding my ground all the time and getting jibing down pat, I keep eating East Beach mud pies each time I try!!! Anyone heading out there (EB) this afternoon???

Unimog Bob 04-13-2006 09:51 AM

Hey Toby,
I'll be there as early as I can sneak out of work. We can feast on mud pies together. The water is going to be less today according to the tide chart, maybe if the NE isn't honkin all day some water will stay in the bay.

Thanks Bob,

So in other words you are telling me that we will be riding in an inch of water??? Can't wait to run aground and eat a conch shell!!! Oh well, at least my Shred Ready Shaggy *zoinks* (for all you Scooby Doo fans)helmet finally came in the mail last night so I'll have something covering my melon!!!

Skemp, nice to meet you yesterday! Are you going to EB this afternoon?

I'm gonna have a hard time saying no, especially with peer pressure. I'm kind of curious about checking out Lassing Park since that tide is gonna be so low. Anyone ever ride it on a low low tide?

Low tide today at the mullet key channel skyway is 6:45pm and is .15' below mean low water. Yesterday was a few tenths above mean low. There won't be a big difference in water level from yesterday. THe big issue is how much water the wind blows out of the bay. Good kiting wind from the NE and a low tide together means Mud flats... sometimes ya gotta take the bad with the good.

I'm sticking to EB then, never been to Lassing but hear that there are power lines to navigate around. Not really too into getting electrocuted this afternoon...

inferno 04-13-2006 11:26 AM

EB is better on a NE or ENE because you can ride downwind and then walk back upwind ON SHORE, you cant do that at lassing, you have to walk in the water to get back upwind

toby wilson 04-13-2006 12:03 PM

Thanks for the heads up Danny!!!
