picnic island should work on a south

Skyway Scott 03-14-2008 07:59 AM

It'll probably be S most of the day, maybe SSW around 2 or 3.

That's what usually happens in these scenarios, but who knows.
Like Raul said, I think Picnic is the better choice.

Picnic sounds good....but where is that?? Never been there

Big G 03-14-2008 08:09 AM

+++1 on Picnic on a Southwind. SW is ideal for Cypress but it will need to have some push to get over Pinellas county.

South wind at Cypress is normally a no-go. I guess it could work, but the problem is that you have all those buildings muddling the wind. You could give it a shot, but you're probably going to be dealing with mad gusts and heavy lulls (however the hell you spell that).

Picnic is right next to MacDill Airforce base. It is excellent on a South wind and it is usually blowing harder than what the old port tampa sensor is reading.
