Aviation weather is saying 19 knots on Weds @ 2 PM. They are VERY CONSERVATIVE and usually are right on... unlike NOAA who overestimates.

I just took delivery last night of Tom Stocks latest creation called the Danny Johnson Pro Model. This means I MIGHT actually get to try it out. I'll post pictures of it soon, very well made board.

Board challenge:
I am 100% positive that Tom builds a great board. I am also 100% sure that a board I sell in the shop rocks as well. Dan, feel free to stop in anytime and pick up a 555 Nobile, any size, your choice. Take it as long as you like. Compare the boards in all types of conditions and let me know what your opinion is when your done. Not really looking for a winner just your thoughts on the comparrison. I hope to ride till I puke this week. R3KB |

But Danimal can definitely decide if another board is worth 500 bucks more. :) They really should be, logically. |

was hoping to go to backside but tide is looking very low. |
tide should be fine, its not even going negative, also its a SW wind so it will help to keep even more water in the bay.....
only on negative tides and strong NE winds do we run out of water.... |
Cypress is no go right now, They have the whole beach roped off with no trespassing signs.

I just got back from doing multiple mini-downwinders from Upham/PaG.
It was pretty good for several hours, then.... a friggin sandstorm (literally) was coming down the beach, so I landed my kite, pronto. About 2 minutes later the temps dropped at least 15 degrees and it was blowing 25 plus. Pretty funny watching 100 plus people haul as.s off the beach all at once. ;) Hope the forecast holds for tomorrow. |
I dont know about you guys, but it is friggen windy outside my house. Real gusty. gusting 25 - 30+ easy.

depends on the radar, if the rain is coming pretty close to the north, ill head to backside for some flat water action...
if the rain stays pretty far north, ill head to sunset beach (north)..... im actually considering honeymoon if someone else wants to join me, it should have great waves on the outside sand bar and pretty flat water on the inside... i just dont want to ride solo.... |
ya.. i'm going to stay south.. too far to drive up north.. if water level is not an issue i'll hit backside.. if it looks questionable i'll hit the gulf.. PaG and hopefully a downwinder.
