Most excellent. I just entered that information into my ever so detailed wind predictor equation (see below). I think we are ready to go. ;)

Odds of having a kiteable day predictor equation

Runner Kevin is in town and is on his way to launch site < 5%
Runner Kevin is out of town, no chance in HELL of him showing up > 95%

Rodan'sWings 09-17-2007 12:24 PM

OMG You crack me up Scott! Please keep me informed of when Kevin is out of town, I will be geared up and ready to fly! HEHE

Hitting the Skyway Bridge at 5-5:30 for some NE WIND!

WOO HOO!!! Hope to see you there...

Skyway Scott 09-17-2007 01:47 PM

Philthy,

Wait til it fills is in my advice. Don't drive expecting it to fill in today.
I could be wrong.... but still. If you don't mind (or enjoy the idea) of riding at night, we will be riding until 11pm at Lassing, so no rush.

That is so funny..... But don't get too excited for tonight. I don't leave until tomorrow and I might try night riding for the 1st time tonight..... therefore low chance of wind........ heeheehee

Skyway Scott 09-17-2007 02:24 PM

I was wondering why the H@#$ nothing was going to happen today, despite all the forecasts saying wind.
Only reinforces how accurate my formula actually is!! :)

Damn, Bayflite talked the Ocean Rodeo guys into hitting Lassing tonight, too. Odds of wind are low, low, low.
Odds look better tomorrow. :)

Ok, so you got me thinking I should show up at Lassing tonight... hmmm... I got 12 glow sticks in my car, a coca cola and a candy bar!!! Should be good to go til dawn...

bayflite 09-17-2007 02:57 PM

props to bayflite and the OR guys for demo'ing the kites. had a great time.

Got blown off the water on my 12 waroo once ... had to land it and wait 20 minutes!

You seriously DOUBTED Scott's prediction?? LOL. Damn you have a lot to learn!

Sean B 09-18-2007 12:18 AM

I'll second Tom's session report!!!! F-kin rocked tonight!!!!!!! :):)Got blown off my board one time as well. lol I even faceplanted one time, later in the night, when the tide started going out and I wasn't aware of the "new depth." LOL

Bob- i never got a chance to get that light-thing back to you. It's in the car for when I see you next. Thanks a bunch!

Unimog Bob 09-18-2007 04:53 AM

WoooHooo! Best night ride ever! (really my first) It truly was Epic. I was nicely powered on my 7M Waroo for over an hour, Then bayflights bros from Ocean Rodeo showed up with some awesome kites. The new Rise kicks Ass. I think they are going to be around today, possibley at the skyway AM and PM. Do youself a favor an hook up with them.

Sean, no prob on the light, keep it, and ride on dude.

Bob

lassing was a blast last night.... lit solid on 12m waroo... got off the water just as darkness set in.. still not really digging the night riding.. as soon as i was losing sight of others on the water i felt better just to watch from the shore line.

Danny.. you are tearing it up!

loops look fantastic.. need you to post some pics of your board w/ the LEDs...

i'll be out again tonight.

fun fun fun.

how late was everyone out? did it pick up after i left (about the time that Scott went back out after dark)..

i started a session log on my gmail calendar.. its public.. feel free to add if you have a gmail account.. let me know if you are able to add comments to the daily logs. thanks.

Woodson 09-18-2007 08:16 AM

Bayflite,

Nice meeting you yesterday. Hopefully get to demo a OR today. Thanks again and see you out there bro!~

Sean B 09-18-2007 10:08 AM

Bryan, we were off the water around 11pm. What a great night.....Even the fish were giving me high-fives as I rode over them.

Skyway Scott 09-18-2007 10:40 AM

Yeah,

Those fish HURT. I got hit about ten times.

Oh, I didn't post an updated prediction (my computer is broken... on a friend's at the moment)
I just made phone calls. I think I predicted low chance on here. At six though, Doppler was a no brainer.
Also, Bayflite had the guitar man at Chattaways play 3 wind songs. I swear it's true, once he played the songs, it filled in.
Also, once Kevin called me and said he could NOT come out, heavy wind was a GUARANTEE. :)
