Rick, the upgrades to the forum rock! I really like the new look not to mention the speed...

Toby, how did you get your avatar to show up?

I dont see much difference except for the nice search functions (search thread, or forum).

BUT, how in the world do I send private messages?

Thanks! We had been using free, open source phpBB Forum software since the start. This is what most forums out there use. Lenard with Rapid Decision Corp. had been advising me for sometime to move to vBulletin instead. You have to buy this software but he said it provides many advantages including improved security. Security has been a problem for sometime, from virus' acting like hackers to spambot avalanches (about 20 a day for many weeks). I am still learning what things it can do along with the changes. Most of the old functions and quite a few new ones are here, you may just have to look around a bit for them. So far so good though. There are more changes coming to improve the site. Folks the software change happened last night. I am learning of issues around the same time as you do. This application is totally new to me as well. So, let me know what is not working and please be patient while I try to figure it out.

Unfortunately, we don't have a paid, full time staff of system experts to deal with this stuff. Until about 6 am this morning I was more concerned about getting four articles into SBC Kiteboard. Now I can try to figure this stuff out. Hang in there and keep me plugged in on what problems you are having.

Thanks, I may take you guys up on that. Still, checking but so far PM is enabled as are avitars in the Forum admin. Would you do me a favor and check your User CP under http://fksa.org/profile.php?do=editavatar to make sure that your avitar is listed and enabled? Also, do you see a PM icon/button adjacent to the post windows?

The general permissions were on but not in a special imported users forum that everyone is in. Hopefully, avitars, PM's and the member list are working for registered users now. Please check and let me know about other irregularities.
