Business is Business
We live in America, we are a capitalistic society.
We live in a land where the people who take the bigger risk reap the bigger rewards. Of course the smaller shops don't want to go out of business, noboby wants to, but that is something decided by market forces. At the end of the day shops that carry many other items (a strategy called diversification) are protected if the market for kites becomes saturated and business slows. The shops that carry other items will be supported by their other sports and product lines. If business drops off for smaller shops they can wind up going under if they have nothing to fall back on. If anyone wants to talk business strategy I can trade my consulting services for kiting gear! |
