I have been looking for a heavy wind board but am hesitant due to the large price tags. I'd rather spend my money on kites if I had to choose...
Count my vote for interested... |
I'm still wet behind the ears and don't have my board preference fine tuned but I'm always interested in supporting someone local first before going mainstream. yeah I'm interested.

Sweet board Tom. Carbon is the future! Let me know if you need art on that bad boy. Can you make me a 128 that bi-cects and fits in a backpack?

Kick ass pigeon :), Philthy.
Another HUGE advantage to a custom board, is it is unlikely to get stolen (or at least re-sold.... easily). I use to paint all my boards to look like crap, just so no one would want to take them. Nice work, Phil. I wonder if a hot looking board increases someone's (a non-kiter) desire to steal it? Obviously, they couldn't resell it (without the crap getting kicked out them). |
It pays to put contact info in between the layers of glass where it simply cannot be removed.
Nice art work, I may hit you up for some graphics at some point! |
I was thinking the same thing about the contact info.
If someone puts a sticker on it, it's still there. The police will see it, in case it is necessary. |

Be sure to bring the finished product back in the office... Looks very nice bro~ |
Heck, you could make the whole board look like an address stamp. How about in big letters " KEEP OFF so n so's Board".

Tom if you or anybody is interested, i just finished airbrushing art on my friends new surfboard. I did it on top of the fiberglass, not on the foam blank like most surfboard art is done. The technique i use makes it very durable and no U.V fade. Scroll down to the blond purple girl being abducted by aliens.
http://homepage.mac.com/anthropods/PhotoAlbum20.html or girl-bot should i say. Cheers! Phil |
when Airbrushing straight to the fiber glass, do you have a problem with the paint dripping? what kind of paints are you using, I am considering airbrushing on some cotton fabric(to reduce drippage) and then laminating. what do you think
