87 street
i think half the story happened in this guys head.. im ray garcia and though i remember talking to some guy about kiting, the part about landing in a swimming pool is made up.. he obviously invented a lot of elemements for the plot of this story..
anyways, what concerns me is the recent ban on 87st. anyone here with experience on organizing the beach for kiting? rules, etc? if we don't organize it we will lose this spot... |

I cant believe they really banned 87th street. I think that there might have been a misprint in the article. I went there when Katrina was around and had no problems. Even talked to a lifeguard ... but then again who knows ... in any case I agree that there needs to be organization so that there wont be bans moving forward

highroller,
it seems you and everyone who owns a kite came to 87 when katrina, it was banned after that. south of 87 it's miami beach north of it is surfside. surfside police is patrolling the beach why? because beach goers are intimidated by reckless kiting, there were no rules in 87. |
