I will get a higher rez and bigger screen copy up in a few.
Jay is in the background getting lofted on his loop, basically.

The clip got cut short (damn). It was originally longer. (Danny, you somehow cut out footage I had of Jay's leg and cut short your own clip... or someone did before you filmed me....ugh.....)

Danny got yarded twice after getting pummeled on the landing. It was sick live, the vid does it NO justice.

All the info Scott pretty much is in line with what Damo was telling me. Either way, big jump, kite loop, very heavy. I am kicking the board off right now to just get the hang of them, but man I am comin down super hard. I couldn't imagine trying to land anything with a board on my feet at this point and I got to admit they are downright scary/fun.

My biggest issue is just getting some consistent time on the water.

We got blown off the water today at 3-rooker. It was just nuts 30+knots and got nuttier 35+knots. It finally leveled off around 5pm in the 25knot range and was able to salvage the day with a nice sunset session at Honeymoon.

Danny did that loop in solid 30, maybe 35. It was sick. I wouldn't recommend anyone trying that. It's obvious why - you will most likely break something, like your leg or neck. (not exaggerating).

Here is Danny's loop (and Jay in background loft/looping) a little larger. You can download it for full screen size, if you wish. :)

One word - Ouch!

Skyway Scott 03-19-2008 11:01 PM

Ouch is right. Here are a couple really wimpy ones for comparison.
They were thrown really late (right at apex) in about 20 knots.

These same ones in 25 to 30, if thrown earlier on the way up, can be vicious.
After seeing Danny get worked today and the fact my hip is still screwed - I passed on those kind today and just plain wimped out. :(
