so i enjoy florida so much, and I have always wanted to kite in the keys. I have a free flight to either miami or keys international. I have looked for accomations in islamordora and only can find rooms for 160 a night. I have a week off during school break dec 28 to jan 6th. Can I find cheaper room anywhere close to kiting? any local rentals? shoud I fly into miami or keys. rent car?

The biggest problem your going to have is that your coming smack in the middle of the Christmas/New Years holiday and it is packed here in Islamorada as well as Key West. Your best bet for finding cheap accommodations is to call the locals to help you out. No promises but we can usually get great deals for you. if you want cheap, try tent camping in the keys. Long key state park is awesome but you may have a hard time reserving a site for those dates. There are lots of private camp sites like fiesta key rv resort, tent site for about thirty five a night, hot showers, pool, close to annes beach, whale harbour, and little over an hour to KW.
