There is a 5-day IKO Instructor Training Course starting next week in Crandon park, Key Biscayne. ( Miami)
- Wednesday 22nd to sunday 26th - 8.00 am till 5 pm
We have 2 spaces left on this course due to candidates last minute cancellation.
This is an opportunity for those who can take some days off in such short notice and get your certification before the summer .
There will be another IKO course in Miami on :
- May 20th to 24th 2009 in Crandon park, Key biscayne.
Pass ed this date, the next IKO course in Florida will happen after the summer , in October 2009 ( dates TBA)
If you want to start a career into kitesurfing or just improve your knowledge of the sport to teach others, then the IKO training course provide you the only international diploma recognized in 40 countries for its High standard certification level.
CONTENTS of the Course :
It's an intense 5-days course covering all the fields you will need to improve for performing confidently and safely as a kiteboarding instructor :
- Equipment Technical review and fine tuning
- Aerodynamics
- Safety guidelines & procedures
- Meteorology/ Oceanology
- Communication skills
- Teaching psychology
- Complete Lesson Plan reviews
- Boat teaching procedures
- Live teaching situation for the last 2 days
Fee is $790 for the 5 days , including:
- 2 Years professional Membership to IKO ,
- All the course materials ,
- Access to the international Network of IKO School and instructors worldwide for job offers and posting,
- Access to a Commercial Kitesurfing Insurance valid worldwide for less than $ 300/year
- Access to IKO's Online Continuing Education to upgrade your skills ( Boat kite-specific training, Meteorology...)
- Crossover to Snowkite Instructor Specialisation
