Got to do a run I have always wanted to do today. Wind came up nicely in the afternoon with some gusts to almost 30.

This downwinder will only work on a SW.

Start point is IRB and endpoint is Sunset Park in Tarpon Springs.

Got to hit up the Sand Key Park Jetty, then a beautiful pass along North Clearwater though Caledesi Island. An awesome stretch of waves a pristine beaches.

Then played around on the flats tucked behind the North tip of Caledesi Island.

Then hit some more great waves at Honeymoon followed by another pristine stretch of beach along north Honeymoon.

Then for the finale, hit up 3-rooker and hit up some of the nicest butter that Tampa Bay has to offer.

By the time we got to Sunset, we were exhausted, but greeted by the nicest bunch of kiters that I have ever met....the Sunset crew. Brian was throwin down on his 8 meter.

Not sure of the distance, but I am guessing well over 20 miles.

I highly recommend doing this run if you ever get a chance. Some of the best spots our area has to offer IMO.

Can't believe I waited this long to do this run.

That sounds awesome, what time did you get started?

I left madiera beach around 4 and rode solo all the way to north clearwater beach. Even caught a ride back from another kiter named Hunter, thanks again.

All in all got about 3 solid hours in today, tomorrow and tuesday look even better!!!!!!

Nice. Sounds like the whole county got some.
I finally got a day of wind that worked with my work schedule. I saw there were a bunch of kites in the air at EB at around 2, so went to the backside SW and rode with only Randy and one other kiter till around 430, then 2 more people showed up. Could have rode longer, but was beat.
I finally got riding in both directions down, and really nailed dawn my riding stance. I actually rode up wind a little bit and am starting to figure it all out.
It definitely wasn't the windiest day of all, but so far its my best day on the water

Got started around 2:00 and ended around 6:30 at Sunset.

It was such a last minute thing, not much planning went into except that we were going and that we were going to try and get there.
