Hi, my friend just got into kiteboarding and he lives around ft lauderdale, he knows about tiki beach but he does not know how to stay upwind yet, Can anyone help me and tell me where there are some beginner spots around ft lauderdale? I would greatly appreciate it. THX

Has your friend been through professional kiteboarding instruction yet? Our area has few ideal beginner launches largely due to normal crowding and some access threats over the years. The days of realistically teaching yourself to kite in heavily populated SE Florida ended a long time ago. So, how far along is he at this point?
