I have yet to hear any chatted at all regarding the next race. Any word?

Chris Moore, an organizor of the race is on holiday.....honeymoon to be exact for most of December....

Anyway, I would hope upon his return from Maui, we will hear something in January about this years race.

I am sure we have some good blows ahead of us over the next few months.

I see the Ft Myers to Naples (or Naples to Ft Myers) race is on for this month.

we are trying to put the race on for jan but we are waiting for the wind and we will also respect
other events

We are back. We will start planning for the next Tampa Race soon and expect it to be held hopefully by the end of February. We will coordinate with other events in Florida and plan on a open venue so we will have more options on when to hold the race.

I heard it was going to be on the gulf side this year, instead of the bay, did I hear right?

We are actually looking at having an open venue so we are not tied to one wind direction. This will make it easier to have an event that isn't dependant on one wind direction. Our area is one of the few that we can ride on any wind direction so we might as well explot that option. Stay tuned for more info by Sunday.
