Sunday /8/28/05 Panama City Beach......waves in the St. Andrews Bay Pass, better known as Amazons was 10-15 feet with ESE winds around 20-25 and gusty. Surfers packed out the pass with Surfers from the East coast and Pensacola, as well as the Quicksilver surf team in for a video shoot. The local kite crew flew all day on the West side of the Pass...most riders were on 12 meter kites or smaller. There were some out of town riders as well...plenty of room here for everyone.
Today was a bit insane with huge surf and winds gusting to over 45 at times....looks like it will drop tomorrow and get good again.
Check the pcbkitesurf site for updated pictures of the Hurricane......
