There information about yesterday's tragic storm related kiteboarding accident online from various Brazilian news services. I wish the man's family and friends what solace they can find at this horrible time.

Using an automatic web translator from Brazilian to English leaves some gaps in understanding though. It seems like the man, a physician and neuro specialist was lofted about 50 m inland from the water or the shore, broke through some trees, falling about 10 m into a vendor tent. The kite then pulled him back seaward and into a fatal impact against the pavement.

I could use some translation help in working out some additional details, things like wind speed and gust speed, direction, presence of squalls, kite type and size, visible conditions, etc.. If anyone has time and a desire to help would you please checkout what sources you know in Brazil in addition to the following and fill me in on what else you learned via pm to ricki or email to flkitesurfer (at) hotmail.com

Thanks Enrique, I've already been to that site and seen a rough translation of it along with about eight other Brazilian sites. It's the third down from the top in my original post. I am still missing specifics listed in the post above this one. If anyone can help out with the additional info I would really appreciate it.
