Hi all,

We are going to have a SUP evening on Thursday evening starting at 5pm till 7pm or maybe even later. Come on down, bring your own board or we can rent you one for $10 for half hr and if availability allows us you can take it for longer but we only have 6 boards to share around.
For those of you who do not know where we are, we are located 2 blocks south of Las Olas Blvd, directly infront of the Oasis Cafe on Ft. Lauderdale Beach.
Hope to see you here Cheers Neil and Helga.

A look west over Tiki Beach

For a map/satellite image of Tiki Beach due east of the Oasis Cafe, north of Bahia Mar and south of Las Olas Blvd. checkout:

Sounds like a great way to get on the water, meet other water folk, stay in shape and have fun regardless of wind. Hope to see you there!

Just talked to Neil, conditions are great and should be a blast. He's thinking about making this a regular deal, perhaps even throwing in some friendly races for those that are interested. No end of possibilities in that quarter. For those that just want to go out and have some easy fun, no worries as that's on as well.

Just had a look at the livecam a few blocks north of Tiki Beach, looking good ...

For lots of livecam images, realtime weather, radar, etc. be sure to checkout "Weather Resources" for your part of Florida (have all four quadrants, Tampa Bay and the Keys covered). For the SE it is located at:

Have fun!

Hey Neil,

How did it go last night? I saw some weather develop late in the day off your way. Hope you guys didn't have storm hassles. Any pictures?

This just in from Neil. btw, tomorrow is SUP night again at Tiki Beach.

Hi Rick, here are a few pages of pics from last weeks SUP night, feel free to use any of them. It was a great time and we had about 25 people attend. We will be having another one tomorrow (Wednesday) starting at 5pm till 8ish. It is a really good way of getting everyone together when there is no wing, without being in a bar and just enjoying the beach and ocean.

The pictures looked like a lot of fun. Would be great to have something like this in the Tampa/St. Pete area. Would like to try SUP before making the investment. Add one more thing to the bucket list. Well maybe more like a small pail. And learning to free dive. Too many things, not enough time. When I go to the final reward, there will be a huge yard sale!

Hey Neil,
Do you rent the whole kit (harness, kite & board) for a couple hours? I'll be in Ft Lauderdale the last weekend of Oct doing the boat show.
Cheers,

Is it hard to balance on the board?

I like the wide angle of the building, is it a 18 mm?
