Read a little about the Horse Latitudes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horse_Latitudes
Worst branding ever, imo. Didn't bring high wind fun to mind when I first saw the horse logo over the word latitude. :rolleyes: :confused:

All in a hot and copper sky,
The bloody Sun, at noon,
Right up above the mast did stand,
No bigger than the Moon.
Day after day, day after day,
We stuck, nor breath nor motion;
As idle as a painted ship
Upon a painted ocean.

How many kite mnfr's we got now?

From what I understand is that SOFX was bought by someone and turned into Latitude Kiteboarding. I also agree, its not a very good name.

Who cares about the name. I'm all about how the kite flies...if it flies good, it really doesn't matter if they are called Retard Kiteboarding for all I care...

We have one in the shop. 12M to be exact.

Rode it last week down on the beach in 10-15mph with dead onshore winds and very choppy conditions. Too early to tell, but so far so good. The power was a bit surprising for a 12M, 12knots is go time for 150lb me. 1:1 setup, one pump, very nice bar (similar to Best Bar), hybrid design canopy and bridal, direct connect to back lines (no pulleys), bar pressure was medium (like a C), responsive to turning input, had no problems feeling where the kite was. Did not test relaunch in water but did on land and relaunched easily by pulling steering line, did not unhook, and no jumps for obvious reasons.....but the kite had some pop even in the lighter winds. Build quality and attention to detail was on par with kites in this price range. $1200 for 12M complete

We don't own the kite, it is on loan, so I guess you might consider this an unbiased review. Take it or leave it.
We have a board as well. It is a flex style board that runs $450 complete. Did not get to check that out.

Next week will be demoing a relaunchable 2 line trainer......mmmmmmmm????
