PODCAST #121:

Major advances were made this year in board design for kite racing, as exhibited by the number of prototypes and custom boards at the 2008 US Nationals in San Francisco. Interest in kite racing has taken off, so much that rumor has it that North is planning on releasing a race-specific production board in 2009.

This Thursday evening, our live interview format is back where you can ask and get your questions answered real time by our guests. This week on The Kiteboarder Magazine and the ASnews.net podcast, we are pleased to welcome avid racers Nils Stolzechner of NJS Design, whose boards were used by many competitors at the nationals, along with Chip Wasson, one of kiteboarding’s first pros and founder of Ultra Nectar clothing, who has been experimenting with foilboards and a variety of custom directional boards for racing.

Got a question for Nils or Chip about the various boards at the nationals, what worked and what didn’t or tips to help you race? Join the live podcast this Thursday evening via our chat room and you’re your questions direct to our guests!
