hey i was wondering cause i am new to the sport (i dont even own my own gear yet) but is the rapture by windwing and the crossbow by cabrinha the same style of kite i mean are they the same thing with different brands cause i am looking to buy a kite and board this up coming month but i dont want to spend 1800 for a crossbow if i can get two raptures for that and have a ful coverage of my wind-range soo if anyone could get back to me it would help a lot or even if you can just offer some advice i really want to get into this sport and i dont have the know how yet.

Hello Trevor,

I wouldn't worry about buying any kites yet. I would focus on locating and then taking the best instruction that you can find. You will get to use their gear and their risk and by the time you have been through it you will have a stronger idea of your own on sizes and even types of kites that might work.

I think windwing is working on something similar to the Crossbow but I don't believe it is out yet. To the best of my knowledge the Rapture at present has a different design.

There are a lot of ideas on how to get into the sport located at:
