a month or 2 back, Seven was dropping events on top of events, but now it seems a bit quiet. B rad, what's up are you doing this thing? If not, let us know.

I think due to high interest in the keys run, more organization is needed. Hopefully this event can be a reality someday. Sounds like a killer idea.

I agree. A while back Paul Menta of the Kite House was going to organize this run, but Seven stepped in so Paul backed out. I'll discuss this with the guys at the kite house to see if we can make this thing happen. This is really a problem with these open date formats. At ASI we have wanted to run several events, but haven't recently because of this open format that seems to run forever. Organizers and competitors need to look at this carefully so that we can have a higher level of events in our areas.

The TBKM will no longer have a specific venue each year but go where ever the wind is calling. We have so many great riding spots we shouldn't limit ourselves to just one wind direction. Before we planned this years event I called around to make sure no one else was holding one and it didn't over lap another.

Im all for a keys run.. I hope someone can put this into action.

Hi guys...

No, didn't loose interest at all! Quite the opposite...people called from all over the country wanting to come...even fly in at last minute notice. I realized we need a lot more boats than we had lined up. Spring is busy here and all guides are fishing twice a day...made it hard to come up with 10 more boats or so...

I still feel the only safe way to do this is in teams...of any size, but with at least one boat in them...

You guys know we are all late in the season now and a summer race could happen but not as likely...

We are going to keep building teams and encouraging everyone to do the same. As teams are being built, we will put them online and promote their sponsors as well.

We will post lots more info about boat launches, bail-out beaches, hotels etc... throughout the Keys to make it easier for out-of-towners to participate.

Remember, this is not your typical event...

Thanks for all the interest...keep calling 305-393-3883 with questions or email events@sevensports.com

Ride On.
