Honestly. If I was going to get a C kite, it'd be a Fuel, Flexi, North, Naish or something that already has a proven reputation with C kites.
Considering most dedicated or new to Best riders are on bridled kites and most dedicated C riders are probably already on the above mentioned, it's going to be interesting to see how few of those Best sells. :)

I am betting it is very similar to the other best 08 kites... the waroo and nemesis look almost identical except for some cuben and the yarga doesn't look much different either.

Not sure what they are doing... looks like all three are actually hybrids?

Isn't a hybrid was a C kite with a bridle?

Only ridden the 08 waroo and it's freaking excellent...

Don't forget you can return it in 30 days no questions asked.

North? No way... trust me on that one. Ask Colin about his ... it's sitting in a trash can, only ridden 10 times. It's so bad he refuses to sell it for fear of getting shot. Flies great when it holds air which is almost never.

That was like 3 or 4 years ago that Colin had that problem, wasn't it?
The Slinghys were just as bad at leaking back then and Best's kites really sucked ass back then. Things change.

Anyway, here is the link to the C kite by Best.
I am curious who their target consumer is with this kite.

I better hop off of here now.

No, it was (about) a year ago. He bought the kite brand new, it wouldn't hold air for more than 15 minutes ... changed all of the bladders (all of them) for airtime bladders twice and they would pop as soon as you inflated the kite. Helped him a few times baby powder the whole deal, no luck. We both gave up on it.

North gave him the run around so he bought a whole quiver of 07 waroos and threw the North in the trash.

Recommended to use it's own C bar too. It's all on the EK page I linked to.
Who knows, maybe it will eclipse the waroo, what do I know.

Gotta agree with Tom. That is a hybrid kite, not a straight C kite.

Im confused on why you guys think its a hybrid....
???

Because it has a bridle system that travels along the LE.

A traditional old school C kite does not have bridles, just pigtails that attach directly to/from the wingtips.

There are 2 product descriptions for the Yarga declaring it a C kite that I linked to. Then we have Simon on the Best forum calling it a C kite in several places (I linked to one). It has a new bar that is made to be C kite specific, and lastly, I see zero bridles and squared off wing tips in the pic.
What gives guys? Is reading comprehension in Florida really that bad these days?

To clarify.. new kite is C kite. Old kite had bridles. LMAO.

The pic I saw had no bridles and the wings were not swept...

Looked awfully C'kite to me.. :)

2007 yarga= is hybrid, can be used with bridles or standard 5 liner

2008 yarga (not for sale yet)= is C-kite, 4 or 5lines, no bridle options

Thanks Danny. I stand corrected. I was looking at that link to Best's website that Tom put out there earlier. I don't remember even seeing an '07 Yarga at the beach ever. C kite it is...

randy had a few for demo, i had a short ride on one, nice kite, reminded me of the first thruster....
i might actuall get two used 07 yargas down the road, i like the range the bridles give you, and the safety of the fifth line for riding litt.....

anyone want a 2007 naish raven 12m????

ya from the story i got first hand from Colin this had less to do with the fact that he got a dud of a kite.. and more to do with the absolute lack of customer service from North.. seems like his kite suffered from some bad inside stitching or something similar and bladders would get punctured..

the fact that North took no ownership of the defect is the troubling part.

Colin or Tom could maybe give more specifics ..

Regarding Yargas.. the old Best Yarga C kites were very durable, stable, medium aspect C kites. I have 3 sitting in my garage that I learned to kite on. Dan B. and I beat them to hell on the beaches and water and they are still in perfect condition.

I'd bet that the new Yargas will be quality kites if you want a C.. but I'd also say that you could get yourself a very nice SS fuel used for cheap cheap cheap and be very happy happy happy.

We need an "old school day" where everyone comes to beach with their old C kites and wakeboards..

hehehe..

Jayson told me he still has his original 2-line kite...

Yeah guys that was my question... I was confused because the 07 yarga had bridles and now the 08 doesn't.

I wasn't trusting the pics because they looked dated.

If i has bridles it's a hybrid but I guess this is now a real C kite without the bridles.

Best did make pretty good C kites... I had 5 of them. My 05 Yarga was awesome for a C kite (back then).

But, I have no desire to go back to a C kite... hybrids are where it's at.
