Whats up fellas? Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. Originally from Michigan, down here to work for a few months and let the weather clear up.
Kited on the east coast last year while i was finishing school, but new to the west coast.
Couple questions...
Is there a shop around where i can grab and pump and some pigtails?
Any flat water spots? Tigertail? sanibel?
Do you guys get the migration of sharks like the east coast does? kinda freaky..

Also are there any rules or regulations i need to be aware of at the beaches.

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks, and see ya on the water.

You guys got any spots near naples to ride on a straight North?

I have all day tomorrow to ride and need to know where to go soon.

If you guys could give me a heads up I would appreciate it.

Anybody for a downwinder tomorrow?

Thanks guys

Tommy

Not sure if Latino will be able to get back to you in time. If you have a look at Google Earth you will see that straight north is side offshore along most of the area in SW Florida. Just north of the inlet in Naples there is a section of beach that is closer to running north and south. At the same time, occasionally even though the forecast calls for straight north local weather effects may bend the winds to straight sideshore. If it is a strong north wind there are spots in the bay to the east of Sanibel that can work along the causeway. Some launches along the causeway get tricky with tight confines, traffic and adverse current at times. Otherwise Biscayne Bay by Sea Taxi or Jupiter and points north on the east coast are reliable in true northerly winds.

p.s. - just had a look at the NWS Marine forecast, they're calling for 15 to 20 mph NW. If it happens you may not need to worry about a N launch area this time.

Rick,
Thanks for replying when you didn't think anyone else would. Ok so there is a section of beach to ride just north of the inlet in Naples. I will look for that. I also see that the forecast is calling for NW tomorrow so I might be alright.
So Rick are you saying that you go up north to Jupiter or South to Biscayne bay when a North comes through on the East side?
I rode in Delray and Palm beach a lot on a North last season..its do-able isnt it?

To anyone in Naples that is riding tomorrow and willing to show the new guy the ropes, give me a call at 313 -300-6886.

Anyone going to Marco? I'd love to ride that spot...

Thanks again Rick
