Just don't put a stake in the ground and attach yourself to it via a long "leash" and then try to land the kite.

A guy was killed in recent years in the UK, one killed in Australia, one in South Africa, one in Holland, one in the USA, a 16 year old girl in South America paralyzed and many many more over time. You know they used tethered manlifting in China to execute prisoners? One despot used to fly a guy up to check the portends before sailing. If the dude was killed wait, if not, sail on. Manlifting has been a bad (read "dumb") idea for millenia, how often can you say something like that? p.s. - I wouldn't pass that photo around too much.

Why is tethered manlifting so dangerous? "Lockout" is a big reason why.

Not sure why but this keeps coming up over the years. Guess that is why Natural Selection seems to be such a prevailing force in things. Anyway, here goes one more time.
