Video: WHY you don't want to screw around with a full sized kite on land

There is no good reason in training for kitesurfing on water to fly a full sized traction kite on land for any longer than it takes to get on the water. If you need to work on control use trainer kites and LEI kites up to 5 m in lighter winds.

Any larger than that it is a bad (read dumb) idea. How many of these rocket scientists have landed kites on bystanders?

Geez. How many more of these genius videos do you think will hit the internet? Have you seen the one where the guy literally ends up in a tree? That makes this one look tame. The guy is literally dangling from a tree by the end of the video. He litt up at mach 2 after looping the kite (on land, like this vid) and travelled maybe 150 yards in about 3 seconds. The videographer runs and tapes the guy in the tree. The kite was unhurt, I believe. Unreal.
