What helmet do kiters use nowadays? I'm really amazed at the details in the materials, and wondered if folks recommend Shred Ready (click here) (http://www.shredready.com/products)

Especially the "Full Mental Jacket" and the "Shensu"

I like the shell design for the Shred Ready helmets. Also, you did well to pick two of the low drag versions more suitable for kiting with our frequent high speed impacts against water.

On the other hand, the "one size fits all" concept hasn't always worked out that well in kiting helmets. The sizing pads don't always stay put. Anything that effects snug, secure fit can compromise the effectiveness of the helmet.

A fairly recent article about helmets appears at:

I am currently checking out the Gath Gedi with good results so far and am looking forward to trying the Voz soon. Both of these helmets are lighter, have lower drag than the Protec Ace Wake that I have been using for a few years.
