Yo, byatch, I'll charge if you let me ride your 9m part time if it goes off and I get blown off my 12m. I am still shopping for a new 9m for this season, not sure what to buy.

Just rode the ION2 14.5 in 5-line mode on Tuesday at east beach. I put down the Atom 15 and picked up my friends 14.5. Here is my observations:

Upwind was phenomenal. Was able to go at least 30% higher
Turns like a 12m
Just starting to jump and found it easy to go upI am thinking about picking up a 10.5 and 14.5

Good! Another Noob! I won't be the only one! I may ride over to EB this afternoon, or hit some of the barrier islands here in the Dunedin area.

YO E-bone, you should try out the Era 10 or 8. I got to fly the 10 last night, and that kite is the SHIZNIZZZ!!! Very fast, stable, very lofty jumps, and the most important part to you....They come in a lot of very "Pretty" colors!

ahh no good. me and alex showed up at EB to it being to far offshore, so headed to big beach, where it was dead.

then pass a grille, which was dead too...


did some paddle boarding... which alex disagreed with lol.

oh well.

EB rocked from 8am to 10:30 am. Solid 20 to 25. It seems like the SW sensor was definitely reading low/wrong, at least in comparison to what actually happened at EB. I am thinking that's why so few people were out early.
BigAirAl, Wolfie and me had it all to ourselves for a couple hours, that's rare on a strong south these days.

I was really hoping to demo some stuff, but I can't you can't have it all.

Yeah then I showed up at about 10:30 and as usual it started to die. I did get a good 1.5 hours of riding in though. Pretty day!! I'm going out of town again next week so it should be good again in the middle to end of the week.........

No I am not kidding. That's what sealed my decision to call Donna and have her come out after work and ride is when you said you were leaving.
It wasn't nuking like in the morning or anything, but it was blowing.

It really is the oddest coincidence I have ever seen in kiting.
I would make a guess that you don't affect the wind only about 20% of the time and get totally screwed the rest of the time (80%) with it dying within 15 minutes of showing. Does that sound about right?

I have only seen one other guy do that (me 3 seasons ago, for about 4 months). I actually started to feel guilty for showing up it was so obvious I killed it (like 20 times in a row!)
You are going on 2 years now. Really bad luck. Definitely keep showing up and riding with us (just post first so when can get in some time on the water.... :) )

I just called Chataway's. The musician over there played a wind/Kevin song which asked to relieve the curse.
