Will post this in the classifieds, but I know there are a few local riders who love this kite so I wanted to post here first.

2004 7M Fuel one pump. Very good (like new) condition, new bladders. No rips or repairs.

Color is light blue with darker blue trim.

If you've seen Jayson throwing sick kite loops at the skyway you know why this kite is so popular.

$200 obo, kite and bag only.

That is my old kite and it has been flown by Tom maybe twice.
I think I flew it ten times. I replaced all the bladders in it before selling it to him. It is practically new, even though it's an 05 kite.

Probably.
That kite would kick your ass and hand it back to you giggling if you tried to ride it in 30 to 35, Bryan. :p
Oh, Donna rode that kite in 30 a few times, btw. :)

popeye

Ok 04 it is! Thanks Josh. We couldn't remember if it was 04 or 05... doesn't say anywhere on the kite.

Tom,
I'll buy that kite from ya if no one else wants it. Is it still crispy? Mine has seen better days but it is still my favorite kite because I know if I'm on it then it must be blowin 25.
Also, it is the only kite I can do double F-16's with.
Jayson

Yeah it's still crispy. You are welcome to check it out anytime... I can meet you somewhere on my drive back across the skyway to/from work, or I can pass it off to Scott and he can get it to you during the day while I'm at work.

no problem... i was thinkin 05??? looks exactly like my old damn kite.. then i noticed the bag in the picture and knew it was an 04, becuase from 04 to 05 they changed the bags from the red long ones to the small black suitcase thingys

Skyway Scott
08-30-2007, 06:33 AM
I actually kept the newer suitcase bag, because they were not so useful. I am pretty sure it's an 05. Jayson, I still have that bag if you actually like those better. It looks brand new and is just sitting in the garage.

Ah so it's an 05 after all?

Now I have to raise the price 50 bucks!

Yeah, and believe it or not...I have Josh's old 7M Fuel!!! It is my 45+ kite!!! LOL

popeye

What wind ranges have you ridden it in Toby? I never got a chance to ride this one... last time it was blowing 45+ I was on a 5m!

Skyway Scott
08-30-2007, 09:27 PM
Under 180 that kite would get real tough (tea bag from hell) starting at solid 35 knots.
Don't forget how much 35 is! It's a ton of wind.

CrazyJay
08-30-2007, 09:37 PM
The range is 20-40 for most riders. Toby could probably bust mobes on it in 55+ !!!!

Skyway Scott
08-30-2007, 09:39 PM
C'mon, we are talking Toby. 62 knots.
Do you really think 40? I saw Kevin get his a$$ handed to him on that in 40 and he was semi-struggling in 35. :)

popeye
08-30-2007, 10:25 PM
Man I am really wanting to ride this kite in 30 and throw a kiteloop off a wave. I may survive, I may not. But damn it would be crazy fun for 5 seconds.

wow tom, your post went to the third page and the only person to make an offer to buy the kite........ is you.... thats sad :(
J/K
i would get it, but since i already have 2 naish kites, i figured my third kite should stay the same, makes thing simpler......

btw 35Knots = about 42 mph.....
i agree with scott, 35knots is the max of that kite for 95% of riders, the other 5% are those who know how to hold an edge from the old days of 25M C-kites in solid 12 gusting to 14

Hey, I need a small kite for this season. Can you rig this kite with a 5th line, Tom?

inferno
08-31-2007, 06:21 AM
Yes you can, and if you want to make it even safer, i have an extra rope cleat that can be mounted on your bar setup so you can pull a few inches in and lock it off to give even better range...... similar to the flexi axis 5line

Woodson

Scott,

Would this be somethign for me in the 30+ range? I'm 6'4, 225 and love the ladies...

Seriously, worth keeping in the back of my truck for upcoming season?

I'm looking for something I can shred learning to move from intermediate to advanced...

Would it get me up?

Woodson
08-31-2007, 08:36 AM
Screw it. I'm Toby's size. I'll buy it...

Sold. Meet up with you tomorrow as I'm heading to the cable park this afternoon...

IDK, Jayson knows these kites better than me. Thing is, he can also hold down kites in a lot more wind than most.

Let's just put one of you stud muffins out on this kite come the next hurricane, get a windmeter and a video camera, and document our findings!! ;) :D :p

Seriously though, Jay really knows how to edge a board on a C kite at it's top range.
To make it short and sweet, I would put the top end of the 7m Fuel at about the same as a 9m Waroo. I remember riding that kite in 35 and flat water, not impossible at all. BUT, if I were in chop or waves... no way. With the C's it's all about forcing the kite to the edge of the window and keeping it their at it's top end with a hard edge, not sheeting out. :)

Woodson
08-31-2007, 08:51 AM
Thanks Scott. I just remember watching you guys ride in 35-45 while the sand biting my ankles some months back at Treasure... at leaast this way I can get out on the water...

my recommendation...

if this is your first time on a Ckite in high wind (ie 7m fuel in 35+) dont do it in waves, your gonna get seriously worked and possibly hurt.... there is no depower on a 7m Ckite in 40... its all about edging, guts, and the lack of "reason" brain cells......hey, maybe i should buy it :)

popeye
08-31-2007, 08:59 AM
Actually Inferno, I was surprised you didn't. You want a kiteloop kite and this is pretty much it... just ask Ruben :)

Anyway, woodson may have thought this came with the bar... still waiting on a reply so I think it may still be available unless he says otherwise.

Woodson

I was under the impression it came with bars and skimpy clad women...

For the sake of a the community and having no experience with C kites. probably in everyone's best interest if I refrained.

Thanks to everyone who PM'd stating that this wasn't the kite for me!

Thanks for the offer bud!

YEP. :) I would get a 7m Waroo (maybe 9) for the really windy days.
Cindy has them on sale, so does Daryl at EK, for like 365.

I was on a 7m Ozone Instinct that day at the beach.
Others were on 7m Waroos and even a FIVE meter waroo (Chris Bigger) at the beginning of the day, when it was most windy.

Kevin rigged up a 7m Fuel when it "dropped" to 35 and basically got his ass handed to him. He is a good rider and only rides C kites. If it was flat water he would have been fine, but it was the Gulf.
Dr. Bruce launched a 9m Waroo and had to put it down.
35 plus aint no joke.

I think when you got there, it was 25 to 30. That's pretty light compared to 35+. At one point Chris Moore was even on his 12m Ion in that and I think Toby launched his 14 Thruster (way too big, but he made it work).

Remember the little kid getting whacked on the trainer? LOL.....That was a fun day. I wish it stayed at 40 the whole time.

they go thru tiny kites there like you would not believe.

your correct on that one! my old 7 fuel (same as that one, still think thats an 04..) i used to throw kiteloops that would get ripped out of my hand. that thing can pull. my switch 7 can do the same, i've just got better grip and skill now.

Hurts like hell when it rips the bar from your hands! Throbbing and burning red hands! lol
