The park has installed new No Boating markers off the North Beach to enlarge the swimming zone.

The park supervisor has asked that kiteboarders and windsurfers rig, launch and ride FAR north of the markers and remain outside and away from the swimming area. This swimming area also includes the lagoon where the lifeguard podiums are.
It would be a good idea for those who cannot ride upwind or who are learning to keep this in mind when considering to kite at North Beach.

Please respect this request and should a park ranger approach and request that you kite elsewhere PLEASE do not argue with them.
If you do we will LOSE ACCESS.
The park officials are on our side to keep access open and have no intention of creating unnecessary restrictions on kiteboarding.

Its up to all of us to preserve access.
