I got a new 14 1/2 foot inflatable boat for this upcoming kite season. I put a 40 hp Johnson Seahorse on the back. It ran great the first time but now the motor won't circulate water.
Anyone know how to fix this??

The vanes on the water pump sometimes need to be replaced

He seems to have taken it apart and given a thorough look. I think someone with a boat mechanic background is gonna need to look at it. Jayson is pretty good with stuff like this, but it went up to needing an advanced lookover it sounds like.

Bob described the lower unit just like the back of his hand Jayson. He should be able to help you out. ;)

Pull off the lower unit and replace the impeller.. make sure you dont put it in backwards (vanes twisted in the wrong direction).

Some older outboards require you to remove the entire power head to replace the impeller.

Hey man, I'm back in town. Give me a call and I'll head over and help you get it up and going again.

Just got back from Niagara Falls. Have great pics....there have been many daredevils that have gone over the falls in a barrell but no one has done it with a kite. Heres a chance for someone to be remembered forever!

Thanks to BigG's help we finally got her pumpin water. Thanks Gary!
Take her out in pinellas point and now the rpms wont come up in drive :0(
Back to the store to get a compression tester because obviously the rings must be shot right? Wrong! Compression in both cylinders at 110.
Turns out it was a tiny piece of dirt (size of a tic tac) in the fuel line filter.
Back to the water and she ran like a top. YEAH!
So who's up for a camping trip at shell in October????
