Just got the July 2007 Kiteboarding Mag at the shop. I know it's not even June. Anyways, Matt Sexton of the Eckerd Kite Club has a huge 2 page spread covering the first ever college kite event held this past spring in Key West. The pic of Matt flying over a raft covered with beautiful girls in front of Smather's beach is unique and speaks so much of what Matt is all about.

He has busted his ass to make something from nothing. Well the kiteboarding world has taken note and other colleges are looking to Matt for advice on starting their own club. Congrats to Matt and to all of those that have grown the Eckerd kite club into what it is today. Hard work really does pay off.

Have you even seen the pic? Worth a 1000 words as they say. It is bad ass and I consider Matt a bad ass. Plain and simple. Super cool, friendly, helpful, and a leader in the sport of kiteboarding....locally and nationally.

I'll have to check it out. I was laughing because it sounds like you are saying that he is all about showing off for the girls! I'm sure thats not what you meant though, it just sounded funny because uh ok I admit it we all do it.

Unfortunately Kiteboarding mag has never managed to get more than one issue to me in the past 2 years. After numerous calls to both PASA and the magazine, I finally gave up and dropped both the subscription and the PASA membership. I'll have to check it out at the shop.

Congrats on the spread. That rocks.

That's sucks with PASA. To my understanding your subcription is free with a membership. I can understand your disappointment. Yes it is what I meant. He truly enjoys the sport and all the beauty that it holds. I think we can all share that sentiment.

PASA blames the mag and the mag blames PASA. I thought I got it resolved, then I got one issue and no more. I give up! Seriously it took me 2 years to get just one issue... I'll probably switch to IKO... I have a card with both.

Hell, yeah! "Flying over a raft covered with beautiful girls" is something we all hope to do someday. Kiteboarding while in college is smart enough, but starting a club and holding events was a stroke of genius and kiting with women around is an even better idea.

I'd rather have a babez session than a sausage factory session any day.

Thanks guys, we dont condone jumping near or around people though, this was just an event thing. If anyone wants to see that raft in a similar state minus the wind head to shell key, we'll be there after the billy thing.
