What's up guys?

I found the forum while browsing for info on Kiteboarding, and have kinda been lurking and reading for a while. I actually looked into the sport 7 or 8 years ago when I was doing a lot of wakeboarding and skating. I may be wrong, but it seemed like about the only place you could get gear was from Hawaii then? The sport has certainly exploded.
I've been wanting to get into it lately (from seeing you guys while out fishing, or driving across the bay) and figured I'd come get to know some of ya before getting lessons. It's awesome to see people in the sport for the most part have a good head on their shoulders and are respectful. So many of these "extreme" sports are overrun with idiots. Anyway..

I'm 145lbs, 5-8" and have a good bit of wake/surf experience. Any help with a good instructor's name is appreciated, and maybe a round-about idea of what kinda gear I'd need to get a budget in mind.

Hope to learn a lot!

Check out my site www.epickitesurfing.com (http://www.epickitesurfing.com). I have a section listing most of the people that do lessons in the area. I would highly recomend Steve-O from water sports west, or Mike Hall and Matt Sexton from Triton kiteboarding too. Great group of guys!

Good Luck!
