Just six months ago, pro-rider Dimitri Maramenidis took many of us by surprise and launched Eclipse Kiteboarding. Together with his partner Chris Cousins, the two have been busy setting up their network and getting Eclipse kites into the hands of dealers and riders throughout the world. This week, ASnews catches up with the two entrepeneurs to find out more about the company, its R&D process, upcoming events including the John Wayne Cancer Foundation Downwinder, Greek Trips, Demo days including their partipation in the upcoming KiteXpo free demo event in Pismo Beach, CA, May 19 and 20, the 2007 product line, and what's coming down the road for 2008.

Any interested riders will be added to the list on a standby basis. If you can't attend the event, you can catch a glimpse of the action during the LIVE WEBCASTS May 11, 12 and 13. Details TBA. ASnews will also be podcasting live from the opening night event at the Omni Hotel on Thursday, May 10.
May 19 and 20: KiteXpo Pismo Beach, CA 10 manufacturers will be on the beach with all their new gear for you to test and ride! Confirmed participants so far include Best, Cabrinha, Caution, Eclipse, Flexifoil, Flysurfer, Fone, Liquid Force, Ocean Rodeo, and Ozone. Don't miss the opportunity to see and try out all the new gear in one place! Pismo Beach is located halfway between San San Francisco and Los Angeles and has plenty of things to do for non-kiters. JUNE07 Issue of The Kiteboarder Now Mailing! The new issue of The Kiteboarder Magazine just started going out this week and will hit your shop, home or office mailbox soon. Remember, if you have a change of address, you need to contact cs@theringmedia.com to get your magazine quicker, otherwise, it will just continue to forward until the service expires.
