yup, i have many fisher friends that absolutely despise wind. Like they hate it. It makes their bait drift and it is harder to catch fish that way.
What fishers are looking for is non-chop, glossy water on a sunny day.

I hear ya'. I used to fish a lot... until I got into kiting.:p
I still fish a little and read that forum.
I always liked 5 knots of wind to do a "natural drift" and not die of the heat.
Zero wind in the summer is a killer!

yea, I now do charter fishing off miami beach. Once every 2 months I catch a kingfish, some tuna, and occasionally I get those damn blue runners.
I prefer wind though
