I recently bought a used 16m and 9m switchblade. I was thinking about replacing the lines on these kites. What are your thoughts on the guy selling kitesurfing lines on ebay. See this http://cgi.ebay.com/KITEBOARDING-22-M-LINES-FITS-NAISH-BEST-SLINGSHOT-CABRI_W0QQitemZ220085144417QQihZ012QQcategoryZ1142 64QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220085144417 as an example. If you would not recommend this source what would you recomend?

If they are really Spectra and rated at 500 pounds that seems not bad.
Ozone lines are rated at 800. Flexifoil at about 660 or so.

A lot of stock lines are right at 500 pounds.

How is it going Biz?

Thanks Scott,

Things are going good, just got my new kites on the beach to test out and I love them. That 16m pulls like a beast and it was only 13mph. The depower is rediculous. I can't wait to get on the water with them. I didn't get to ride much the last couple of months do to work issues but things have settled down so I will back to chasing wind. I am also leaving march 9th and headed to Park City to spend a week snow kiting. So for the most part I can't complain. I may head over to tampa to ride some flat water on sunday. Hopefully I will see you out there.

How is everything going in tampa?

A lot is riding on your lines, if in doubt go to a local shop. It is good to have a source of gear nearby.

I usually replace factory supplied lines with Q power line. This is an option as well.

I recently purchased a set of these lines 25M and have not rigged or flown them yet, but apon inspection there quality is as good as Naish's (stock/colored lines) There coated like Naish lines and you wind up with an extra line (unless of course your still flying a 5 line set up) So if there good and you/I choose to purchase a 2nd set. Then you/I wind up with a spare pair of front lines (orange instead of gray) ast and thats just a bonus.

Good luck & I hope you get to ride soon Biz :D
