Only problem is that OWC is much closer. I'll take a 2 hour drive over a 2.5 hour drive each way any day!!!

Yea good point, after checking I see what ya mean. Besides they may have stopped trying to build it since the site was last updated this time last year. Oh well, I tried.

I know that a cable park that will also have wave machines (the kind where you stay in one area and the water rushes by you) and who knows what else is being looked into for the Tampa area.

We should build a wave pool with 80 foot waves for which the price of failure is DEATH! Or at least an enema.

The Ron Jon surf park has had one delay after the next. Was supposed to open winter of 05. Still no signs of an opening in site. I currently have a spot in line but I am not holding my breath. If it does what they say it will, it should be the deal. Saltwater tubes 24hrs a day. What a surfer's dream for a Floridian minus the destructive hurricane season of course. :)

permits have been obtained to construct the lake.
2 cables will cost 8K a month in electricity insurance and inspections...this project iz gonna need2B az good or better than O-dub to turn a profit.

That's the deciding time whether a business is going to make it or not.

Knowing the entertainment industry and the tourist industry in this area, I have no doubt that they'll eventually be able to turn a profit ... as long as they have a good enough staff to keep their patrons happy.
