I'm really confused about all of the choices out there. I'm a big rider- 6'4, 275#. I would like to find gear which will allow me to ride in most conditions, not just in very high winds. I am in the process of comparing brands. Any feedback in regards to what would work for a rider of my size would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Well i'm 200 abit smaller than yourself but maybe i can help.

All I can comment on is what i ride: cabrina kites

A 16 and maybe a 12 switchblade II should suit you well, the 16 for up to 20 knots and the 12 for higher. you should look for a large board, cabrina prodigy, or ebay some used gear to try out different brands. The new omaga kite are nice if you are looking for no bar pressure.

Just remember everyone well have opinions on kites, some good some bad, try out everything you can. demo before you buy if possible.

I myself have a 16 sbI, 12 sbII, 10 sbII (my favorite) and an 8 sbII. these are for both me and the wife. favorite board is the mako
