8) Hi all,
I am a Dutch rider who will come to Pompano Beach in February 07 on a business trip.
I plan to take my gear and take a few day's to do some kiting.
I have a few questions and i hope someone can help.
1) Best spot(s) near pompano ? (I prefer spots where other riders are of course)
2) What shall i bring, my 9 and 12 mtr or the 12 and 16 mtr ?
(Taking em all is a bit much) (All c-kites Vegas)
May rent a car so can do other spots as well.

Hope to hear from u

I would read over the Florida Guide as some answers to your questions can be found there:

In Pompano there are two designated launches both with rules, NE 15 St. and NE 13 St. Both are fairly popular local launches.

March may be one of the better wind months of the year here. I would try to pack all three kites if you can (vacuum packing could help, more at: http://fksa.org/viewtopic.php?t=1231

The problem is you might have a particularly powerful front when even a 9 m might be too big. Things might slack off setting you up for a good 16 m session. Much of the time you may be fine on your 12 m. As they say, it depends on what weather comes through while you are here.

Delray Beach is the next designated launch to the north and Ft. Lauderdale to the south. Information about both of these launches appears in the Florida Guide.

If you don't mind driving an hour or so, excellent wave conditions can open up to you in Jupiter and Ft. Pierce to the North. On the other hand nice flat water conditions start in the Flats of Miami to the south with more spots in the Keys, i.e. Islamorada (about 3 hours south).

Have a good trip!
