One of the key areas to avoid in Australia is to NOT kite between the Lifeguard flags, this area is offlimits to all surfcraft, the area extends up to 500m offshore from the flags, if in doubt speak to the lifeguards first, BEFORE launching. Many areas in Australia, particularly in the bigger cities along the coast are under threat of bans, if you don't see anyone kiting at a spot, find out why before you decide to have a go alone.

There are thousands of kilometres of kiteboarding paradise coastline in Australia, places where you will not see footprints in the sand or rubbish in the water or on the beach, please make sure you leave it that way, and have fun.

Thanks for the word Steve. It is important stuff to know particularly about the 500 m exclusion zone off of guarded areas.
